The many failures of the Provo and Utah County authorities

In 2012, the daughters of David Lee Hamblin came forward for the fifth time to recount Hamblin’s abuse. The first time was during their parents’ divorce, when they testified as to Hamblin’s inappropriate behavior. The second time was when Rosie Hamblin brought them into the Provo City Police Department to report forcible sexual abuse of a child on June 10, 1999. This was followed by a third attempt in April 2000, and a fourth attempt on July 12, 2000, both at the Provo City Police Department.
