Last year, I published a series on the story of Connie Fielding, a woman who alleged that her family was at the center of a money laundering and public corruption scheme operated by the Sucato family out of Arizona. In the aftermath of publication, Connie Fielding subsequently accused me of being a member of the Sucato crime family. The reason for this was simple: I had, at Connie’s request, located a victims advocate who was willing to help Connie achieve placement in a residential program for one year, free of charge, so that she could receive the physical, psychiatric, and spiritual help she needed after a lifetime of abuse.
Connie alleged that her ex-husband Russell Hollingshead had sadistically raped and physically abused her over the course of their marriage. There are police reports that I examined that bear out the allegations of physical abuse. Connie specifically alleged that another brother was involved in sexual abuse, which was borne out by that brother’s status as a registered sex offender.
The allegations were horrific, but they were not centered on ritual sexual abuse. Connie specifically denied that her family was involved in any type of ritual sexual abuse. My interest in her allegations was centered on her allegations that the Sucato family had corrupted multiple public agencies throughout the United States, with a specific emphasis on the family court system and DCFS. Through the courts, the Sucatos allegedly held the ability to have individuals involuntarily committed, as well as the ability to rig the outcomes of civil trials for a price.
I came to believe that some of Connie’s allegations were plausible based on the evidence.
Because I did not embrace her entire story without reservation, Connie began to harass and harangue me via email. Despite my repeated demands that she lose my contact information, and cease contacting me, Connie Fielding continued. This was consistent with what she had done over the years with individual members of her family, including her own adult children. Those children and other friends and family members have repeatedly filed for restraining and protective orders against Connie to no avail. She had previously been convicted of disorderly conduct and theft of services, and at the time I interviewed her, she was facing criminal repercussions for electronically harassing her son.
Specifically, Connie was facing a court ordered hearing in August 2023 on her competency to stand trial due to her outbursts in court, which had consisted of Connie accusing her lawyer, the prosecution, and Judge Porter of being members of the Sucato crime enterprise. Connie skipped the hearing, and an arrest warrant was issued. She has been a fugitive ever since.
I am not the only individual Connie has seen fit to harass and defame. She has at varying points accused me of having an extramarital affair with the victims advocate that helped her, even though that advocate and I have never met in person. She has accused me of being a psychopath, which is a diagnosis I have never been subjected to by any psychiatric professional. She has accused me of having a God complex, of ruling my siblings with an iron fist, and many other items. Ironically, Connie Fielding is now threatening me with a defamation lawsuit after spending the better part of a year communicating one defamatory remark after another via email to multiple individuals.
Connie has no permanent or even temporary address to my knowledge. She holds no ongoing employment, and I am aware of only two short lived stints as an employee during the time I was writing her story. She claims that she will receive a $100 million settlement from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and that Jesus will rescue children from tunnels this week. Those are the latest prophecies in a long streak of predictions that have never come to fruition. Connie is a mentally unstable individual who has seen fit to avoid facing that reality by refusing to attend the court ordered evaluation and hearing to determine her competency. She needs help, and a lot of individuals have tried to help her get help.
Unfortunately, what we want for Connie in the way of healthier life with mental stability is not what Connie wants for herself. I am writing this article in anticipation of Connie’s inevitable outbursts in a forum other than email. She has also threatened to file criminal defamation charges against me, a misdemeanor in Utah. This is consistent with Connie’s grandiosity, where she will somehow file criminal charges against me while being the subject of an active arrest warrant. Any attorney who would assist her in this would arguably be guilty of harboring a fugitive due to the active warrant out for Connie’s arrest.
Despite many individuals filing for restraining orders or protective orders against Connie, she has evaded those orders most of the time by simply avoiding service. Since she is transient, and she lacks permanent employment, Connie bounces from shelter to shelter, or she lives on the streets. She spends her days in public libraries, camped out on computers, which she uses as part of her ongoing efforts to harass and defame anyone who does not abide by her demands. When she is pleasant to individuals, it is apparently for the purposes of gaining personal information about others that she can then use as part of her harassment.
Connie Fielding may be mentally ill, but that does not excuse her from culpability for her bad acts or her bad faith. Should she see fit to follow through with any of her threats against me, she will face the full extent of legal consequences for doing so. So will any attorney that aids and abets her defamatory, harassing, and illegal behavior. It is clear that Connie intends to inflict emotional distress on those she has defamed as adulterers, psychopaths, and members of the Sucato crime family. It is clear that her motivation for doing so is to punish anyone who refuses to comply with her absurd demands for a full fledged embrace of her claims, and her strategies, the latter of which has failed to generate a single criminal conviction or civil judgement over three decades of futility.
If anyone reading this has knowledge of Connie Fielding’s whereabouts, I would encourage you to contact the police and alert them, as she has a current arrest warrant out. At this time, due to Connie’s increasingly unhinged behavior and threats, I fear that she is a danger to herself and to others, and subjecting her to the court ordered competency evaluation she skipped last year is the first step to getting her help.
Oh dear. I see this. Thanks for the heads up
