David Lee Hamblin: An Introduction, Pt. 1

An introduction to David Lee Hamblin, the alleged ritual abuser and former clinical psychologist who lives in Provo, Utah. Hamblin has been the target of three criminal prosecutions for abusing children, and has allegations of child sexual abuse that stretch back to 1999. In 2003, he was found to have sexually abused his two eldest daughters Rachel and Eliza by a court in his divorce proceedings. Despite this, David Lee Hamblin was not charged. In 2012, his daughter Katherine Baxter accused him of abusing her and her sisters in a report to the Provo Police Department, and Hamblin was later charged. The Utah County Attorney's Office later dropped the charges, claiming to be unable to locate discovery in the case. Hamblin was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, and later by the Utah County Sheriff's Office, and he was arrested again in 2022 for abusing Emily Sheets and Tobias Schroeder, two children, in the Eighties and Nineties. Again, the charges were dismissed when prosecutors allegedly failed to turn over discovery to the defense. Hamblin's victims do not simply accuse Hamblin of abuse; they allege that he was part of a multigenerational satanic cult operating within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, one which referred to itself as The Group or the Church of Satan.
