Thanks so much! I do what I can, and document review is the order of the day.

Problem in Utah is that the church literally control the entire system, politically, judiciary, and law enforcement. A victim has a tough time here. You get sent to a shrink who is usually a LDS CS. They continue to control you so you never heal. All the social service organizations are corrupt. I truly believe this is the situation worldwide. I think the only ray of sunshine will come when these organizations are flipped.

I've been wondering whether you were a member or not.

Sadly the sexual abuse I failed to stop was perpetrated on my own special needs child at a place that was kind of like a Jewish version of a YMCA, but his predator was a staff member--a young woman from a Protestant preacher family. She had decided to use a male name and changed her pronouns to they/them. Our lives have been turned into a living hell. We seem to have gotten through the period where he was breaking every piece of glass in the house and ripping doors off hinges, but now he frequently exhibits inappropriate sexual behavior and will often say he is the name of the predator.

When we reported the abuse to police I found it very curious that the detectives seemed to look at each other knowingly when I first mentioned that we attended the LDS/Mormon church (although I had recently resigned my membership) before I had a chance to tell them where the abuse happened. I felt compelled to say, "but nothing bad ever happened there that I know of!" It was weird.
